Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached out via digital correspondence to personnel selected for government service over the past four years, extending his best wishes for a bright future. In his letter, Chief Minister Dhami noted that, in 2022, the people of Uttarakhand entrusted him—for the second time—with the responsibility of serving as their “Chief Servant.” Acting in accordance with the spirit of this public mandate, a comprehensive recruitment drive was launched immediately upon his assumption of office, aimed at filling vacant positions across various government departments and thereby addressing the issue of unemployment within the state. Furthermore, the Chief Minister personally spoke with several of the selected youths over the phone, appealing to them to contribute to public service with enthusiasm and dedication.
Continuing in his letter, Chief Minister Dhami stated that, over the last four years, the state government has successfully appointed over 30,000 youths as government servants—a recruitment drive that remains ongoing. CM Dhami emphasized that young individuals are now being selected for government service based solely on their exceptional talent and diligent hard work.
While the credit for these merit-based selections lies, on one hand, with the hard work and talent of the youth themselves, the state government’s stringent anti-cheating legislation—combined with a fair, honest, and transparent selection process—has played a pivotal role in ensuring that young talent receives the recognition it truly deserves.
The Chief Minister remarked that being selected as a government servant of the State of Uttarakhand is an occasion of immense significance—not only for the families of the appointees but also for the state government itself. Appealing to the selected personnel to discharge their official duties with fairness and integrity, he urged them to remain ever-ready to serve the common people as government servants, upholding the highest human values in their conduct. On this occasion, the Chief Minister once again personally reached out to several of the newly selected youths via telephone, encouraging them to contribute to public service with zeal and dedication.
It is noteworthy that, quite recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami personally handed over appointment letters to 307 newly selected candidates during a special distribution ceremony held at the ‘Mukhya Sevak Sadan’ (Chief Servant’s House), located within the Chief Minister’s Camp Office complex.
During the event, appointment letters were distributed to 243 Medical Officers, 42 Pharmacists, and—under the Department of Horticulture—22 Laboratory Assistants and Mushroom Supervisors. While extending his best wishes to all the selected candidates, the Chief Minister remarked that these appointment letters are not merely documents of employment, but rather pledges to serve the 1.25 crore people of the state.
