Uttarakhand: On the occasion of his birthday on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) in Dehradun to celebrate with the children studying there. The Chief Minister cut a cake with the children and shared the joy of the occasion with them. The children sang a birthday song for CM Dhami, visibly moving him. Afterward, he interacted with the children, encouraged them, and spent time in their company. The children appeared excited and happy to have the Chief Minister among them.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami remarked that time spent with children infuses life with new energy and inspiration. Every child possesses immense talent and potential; they need opportunities, encouragement, and confidence to move forward. He stated that the empowerment of differently-abled individuals is not merely a matter of government effort but a collective responsibility of society. He emphasized that every challenge in life can be overcome through strong willpower, self-confidence, and persistent effort. The Chief Minister inspired the children to pursue their goals with full confidence and enthusiasm, wishing them a bright future.

CM Dhami observed that every morning, when a person wakes up after sleep, it is akin to a new birth, as they step into a new day. Given this, he makes it a point to visit children and spend time interacting with them on his birthday.
He further noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken numerous initiatives and formulated various schemes to foster the progress of the children at NIEPVD. Efforts are also underway to empower these differently-abled children in every possible way.
